Accomplishments

Since being established in 2013, the Greater Chico Homeless Task Force has been a key advocate for the needs of those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in the City of Chico.

Accomplishments include:

  • Supporting the creation of various housing and sheltering operations including:

    • True North Housing Alliance

    • Simplicity Village

  • The Butte County Continuum of Care came out of the GCHTF

  • GCHTF has provided educational opportunities for members and the community

    • Ex: Bringing Lloyd Pendleton to Chico to speak about the Housing First model

  • Ongoing policy advocacy efforts with Chico City Council

  • Providing a networking and community building space for service providers and community members
